DB Schenker will open a new cross-dock terminal, at the beginning of next year, in Tetarom III, Jucu-Herghelie, 15 km away from Cluj-Napoca.

With a total surface of approximately 2,330 square meters, the terminal will cover the cross-docking operations, but also includes office spaces. The new terminal aims to optimize the services offered to the company's customers, by reducing transit times and increasing flexibility in national distribution.

Located in the industrial park TRC Park Cluj, a project developed by Transilvania Constructii, the new terminal includes services and facilities at the highest standards: Class A spaces and offices, parking spaces for trucks, charging station for electric cars, security 24 / 7 with surveillance camera system, LED lighting, HVAC system. In order to provide a better security management and improve operation efficiency, the new warehouse is equipped with a high-performance CCTV video surveillance system, fully integrated with the transport company’s existing IT-supported security systems.

The new terminal comes in addition to the existing one, with a total surface of approximately 7,000 sqm, a terminal dedicated to logistics and warehousing operations offered by DB Schenker, and it is the second largest cross-dock terminal of the company, after the one in Bolintin-Deal, Bucharest.

"Cluj-Napoca remains a strategic point for our business, and by relocating our activities in this new terminal, developed to the highest quality standards, we will respond even more efficiently to the logistics and transport needs of our existing and future partners", said Albin Budinsky, CEO, DB Schenker in Romania.
