The approval was emitted during the Government’s meeting on Tuesday.

 

The construction of a third bridge over the Danube will cost EUR 200 – 270 million, according to feasibility studies and its placement will be decided in the next two months, according to Bulgarian press.

 

 

In the second phase of feasibility studies the option of a railroad track will also be dicusses as well as the target price for the construction project. Bulgaria and Romania have expressed their desire to build as many bridges as possible over the Danube in order to link the poverty stricken localities in the area and increase investors flow.
