Diehl's significant expansion in Dolj
German industrial powerhouse Diehl, through its Diehl Aviation division, is making a substantial investment in Romania with the construction of a new 13,000 square meter factory in Almăj, Dolj County.
This state-of-the-art facility, developed by Global Vision, is projected to create 500 new jobs and is expected to be finalized within just 12 months. Already having a significant presence in Brașov, Diehl's latest venture underscores Romania's growing appeal as a key manufacturing hub in Central and Eastern Europe.
Strategic location & regional growth
The new Diehl factory is strategically situated on the access road to the Craiova Industrial Hub, a location designed to facilitate efficient logistics and integration into existing supply chains. This proximity enhances Almăj's and the wider Dolj region's attractiveness for industrial and logistics operations.
Sorin Preda, CEO of Global Vision, emphasized the strategic importance of this investment, stating it is "meant to support, long-term, the attraction of advanced industries to the region." This vision aligns perfectly with businesses looking to establish or expand their footprint in a dynamic industrial environment.
Opportunities for businesses seeking industrial & warehouse space
Diehl's investment signals a significant boost to the local economy and industrial ecosystem, creating a ripple effect of opportunities for businesses across various sectors. The creation of 500 new jobs will increase the local workforce and consumer base. For companies providing industrial support services, raw materials, or logistics solutions, this expansion presents a direct growth opportunity.
Businesses in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, supply chain management, warehousing, and distribution will find Almăj and the broader Dolj region increasingly appealing due to enhanced infrastructure, a growing skilled workforce, and the presence of a major industry player like Diehl. This development solidifies the region's position as a burgeoning center for industrial growth, making it an ideal location for new investments in industrial and warehouse facilities.
