Volkswagen plans $1.11B van factory in Poland

AG, Europe’s largest automaker, will invest about $1.11 billion in a new factory in Poland to assemble the Crafter van in an effort to make its commercial-vehicle operations more global.

Trade deficit down to EUR 249 mln in January; exports up 6.3 pct

Romania recorded a trade deficit of EUR 249 million last month, lower by EUR 49.8 million compared to the deficit recorded in January 2013. Exports went up 6.3 percent in euro, rising faster than imports (4.6 percent), according to data released by the National Statistics Institute on Wednesday.
