FAN Courier has bought 8 hectares of land on the outskirts of Sibiu and is preparing a large investment in a new logistics hub. The land is located on the Sibiu ring road, in the Șura Mică area, and is intended to build the fourth logistics hub on the local market.
Cargus opened nine new, modern logistics warehouses this year, located in strategic geographical areas for the courier industry: Brașov, Buzău, Miercurea Ciuc, Zalău, Cluj, Pitești, Târgoviște, Alba-Iulia and Vaslui (opened in 2018, but modernized in 2021).

The Romanian industrial and logistics market has grown remarkably, in as far as the intensity of both developments and national freight transport is concerned. According to the real estate consultancy company Colliers International, the most active logistics hubs besides Bucharest are Constanta – the eastern most urban center, Alba – located almost centrally and Timis – the most western county in Romania, as these four markets together account for almost a quarter of the national goods transported in Romania via roads.
Courier company DPD Romania estimates a 20% increase in turnover in 2018 and more than 11 million parcels delivered during the year, following EUR 1.5 million last year investment in expanding logistics and software.
