Romania’s imports reach new record high in March, trade deficit widens

Romania’s imports passed the EUR 5.6 billion mark in March setting a new record. The imports were 17.6% higher than in February and 11.6% higher than in March 2014, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INS).

Bucharest and five counties have half of Romanian exports

The companies in Bucharest insure 17 pct of the total exports, and the counties Argeş, Timiş, Arad, Constanţa and Braşov bring in the commercial balance of Romania another EUR 18 billion, generating together with Bucharest 50 pct of the EUR 52,5 billion exports in the local economy.

Trade between Romania and China, in 2014, reached 800 million dollars

The volume of Romanian exports to the market of China reached 800 million dollars, in 2014, being by much under the two countries' economic potential, Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB) president Sorin Dimitriu said, according to a press release remitted on Thursday.

Romania’s exports up 5.8% in 2014, imports also grow

Romania’s exports increased by 5.8% year-on-year in 2014, to EUR 52.5 billion, while imports registered a similar growth of 5.9%, to EUR 58.5 billion.

Statistics: Exports, imports, up 6.5%, 6% respectively, after 11 months

Romania's exports reached 48.7 billion euro in the first 11 months of 2014, up by 6.5 percent, whilst imports recorded 54 billion euro, by 6 percent higher compared to January to November 2013, according to the data released on Friday by the National Statistics Institute (INS).

Exports peak in July with EUR 4.8 billion

Romania exported a record EUR4.8 billion worth of products in July, but the trade deficit for the first seven months was still wider than in the same period a year before, the country’s statistics institute INS said Tuesday.

Romania will export 500,000 cattle to China

Romania will export over 500,000 Romanian Spotted Cattle to China in the following seven to ten years, bringing Romanian farmers over EUR 1 billion in revenues, Daniel Constantin, Minister of Agriculture, said Saturday at Indagra International Agriculture Fair hosted in Bucharest.
